The Hair Loss Genius™ Recognition Specialist Certification is a dermatologist-developed training program designed to help beauty professionals become more confident and knowledgeable about the hair and scalp changes they encounter behind the chair.
You'll learn how to move beyond simply noticing that something looks different to recognizing important patterns, understanding what those observations may mean, and communicating what you've noticed with greater confidence.

What You'll Learn
The Certification takes you through four progressive modules
Module 1
Foundations of Hair Loss Recognition
Build the foundation for observing hair and scalp changes and learn the principles that move you from simply looking to purposeful recognition.
Module 2
Scarring Alopecia Recognition and Referral
Learn the visual patterns and warning signs associated with important forms of scarring hair loss and understand why timely evaluation can matter.
Module 3
Non-Scarring Alopecia Recognition and Referral
Explore recognizable patterns of non-scarring hair loss and develop a more systematic approach to what you observe behind the chair.
Module 4
Application in the Salon Setting
Bring everything together through practical application: observation, recognition, client communication, professional boundaries and appropriate referral.

Completion & Review Period

After the four instructional modules, you'll have additional time to catch up on any recordings, complete outstanding quizzes, review the material and complete your final Certification assessment.

We'll come back together for review, questions, discussion and program completion. Live participation in the Wrap-Up Session is strongly encouraged but is not required to earn the Certification.
Flexible Participation
We'd love to have you with us live for each training session, but we understand that professional schedules vary.
If you're unable to attend a session live, you can watch the recording and complete the corresponding module requirements.
